Fine Art, Kevin McEvoy ArtistArtist’s Statement

As an artist, I am always trying to find ways to present my most recent work that includes new paintings, drawings and hand printing. The two most distinctive characteristics of my work are an emphasis on abstraction and an allusion to the landscape.

In the past five years, I have been exploring a new medium: digital photography. I try to create from image and material a graceful feeling of place and a communion with nature.

My aim is to discover nature’s truth, what I would describe as the rhythms and pulses behind the appearances. In the gallery section above, you will find my most recent work, quiet meditations on forest interiors and marshlands near my home in Sechelt B.C.
